No. Cue Complete is a checklist of requirements, not a script. It is designed to let you speak naturally while keeping track of the points you chose in advance.
Yes—when your device supports on-device recognition. Cue Complete uses that mode by default where Apple’s speech services allow it. Hybrid mode is an explicit opt-in when on-device recognition is unavailable.
Cue Complete requires iOS 17 or later and supports iPhone and iPad. There isn’t one dependable model cutoff: Apple reports on-device speech support at runtime based on the device, language, and current speech-service availability. Cue Complete checks that capability before each session. If Apple reports it unavailable, On-device only mode will not recognize speech; Hybrid mode can use network-assisted recognition when you allow it.
